The 2003 Mercedes-Benz E-Class really did get some competition just after it's launch. The BMW 5-Series and Audi A6 performed very well and appealed to most buyers. They did offer more than the E-Class. Now, Mercedes is stepping up it's game, with the upcoming E-Class Saloon. From the spy shots, the car doesn't seem to resemble it's predecessor. In fact, from the front, the new E looks more like a previous generation S-Class. AutoGeSpot car spotter took photos of it under testing. Engine options will of course include petrol V6 and V8s. There's a possibility for a diesel, or maybe even a hybrid but first we'd like to see the 500+bhp AMG variant.
